What's Inside

Introduction
Fear and stress are conditions that we all experience from time to time. A life without any stress at all would look very strange and somewhat dull. It is natural for humans to feel stressed when confronted with physical danger but also when something new, difficult, or unforeseen comes up, or even when someone is judging or testing us. Being stressed is the brain and body’s natural way of trying to take care of us in situations where we feel or perceive that we have stepped outside our normal routine.
The aim of this book is to impart to the reader, based on our knowledge and experience, how to improve decision making under stressful conditions. We also explain how to enhance and recruit all needed mental resources to deal with violent and nonviolent confrontations, as well as how to manage the mind when it is flooded with information during stressful missions…

Positively constructing your internal dialog, self-talk, will ensure a substantial change in your perception of others and different situations. Imagine you find yourself in a situation where someone is about to attack you.
You tell yourself: ”He is going to hit me! It’s going to hurt and I will break my nose!” – in most cases, this self-talk enhances anxiety and stress. But what if you say to yourself: “He is going to strike me, I need to stop him before he hits me”?
You are trained, and the meaning is you take initiative and engage in constructive self-talk with the correct physical and technical solutions. You are in the driver’s seat and achieved a Combat Mindset.
