InNew Zealand and Australia

Auckland 19-20/2/2000 - A Seminar for the public was conducted for the first time
inNew Zealand. Over 20 participants from NZ and Australia, with backgroundin various
Martial Arts took a part in the event.
A workshop tomembers of GROUP 4 of Securitas (Europe largest security
company), was given to over 40 of their employees. The target was to enhance theirability
indefending themselves, control violent situations with minimum effort ordanger, and improve
tactical thinking and response.

Winter1/2000 in Italy

A Week of Intensive Training in Milano - This course covered our advanced training methods
and highly effective techniques. Date: 9-17/1/2000. About 35 participants in this course had the
opportunityto learn new material and upgrade themselves in the system. Training was2-4 hours
a day Studentsranging from their early 20's to over 50 years old some with no backgroundin KM
or other martial arts. The course was suited for both men and women that were over 30% ofthe participants. The course/seminar was instructed by Eyal Yanilov.

Instructorscourse for our Italian branch of the Federation  started on Januarythe 8th in Venice.

Two Day Seminar for Martial Artists - Was conducted in in Veniceon 15-16/1/2000
ByEyal Yanilov and Philippe Kaddouch, our chief instructor in France.
 
 

Winter11-12/99 in Finland

Assistant instructors Course and the First Part of Our Next Intensive Instructor Course -  was held in Oulu, Finland Date: 22/11-3/12/99. The second part to fulfill the Instructor level is planned to be held in Finland in early Y2K. Wehad about 20 trainees from different cities/clubs in Finland and Swedenwho took a part in the course, and are now qualified and back to help theirinstructors with training
A Week ofIntensive Training in Oulo, Finland - 22-28/11/99 for 6 hours a day- This course covered our advanced training methods and highly effectivetechniques. Trainees got more than half a year worth of training, learnednew material and upgraded themselves in the system.
Both men andwomen, from different cities trained and had a grate time.
Winter Seminars Around Finland -  Hundreds of trainees participated inseminars conducted in Oulu, Turku, Riihimaki, Lahti, Espoo and Tampere.
Instructors training for our local and guest instructors will be held in Helsinki for 3 intensive days (3-5 of December 99). The training will be conducted by Eyal Yanilov, Eli Ben-Ami and Jyrki Saario

ExpertLevel Testing in Helsinki  - Was held during the instructors rainingand gathering.
8instructors (from Finland -7, and Norway - 1) participated, demonstrateda very high level and successfully passed the test (that took about 9 hours).

EyalYanilov - Eyal was the closest assistant of Imi Sde-or (Lichtenfeld), founder of Krav Maga, for almost 20 years. He is the only one who holdsKrav Maga highest level and the founder's diploma of excellence. Eyal hasbeen teaching Krav Maga to civilians, military, security, law enforcementand VIP protection personnel, and educating instructors in South and CentralAmerica, USA, Europe and Israel. He is serves as head instructor of theIKMF.
EliBen-Ami - One of the highest Expert Level holders and instructors inIsrael. Started training KM with Imi ,as a teenager in the late 60's. He is among the founders of IKMF and has around 500 students in Israel. Eli is specialized in training young people and large civilian groups.
Jyrki Saario -Our chief instructor for Finland is a legend in the Nordic countries. With background of over 20 years in the martial arts, Jyrki is one of KM highest Expert holders in Europe. He also holds 4th degree black beltin Kickboxing, black belts in other Karate styles and trainer of Thai Boxingand western Boxing

Our Last Intensive Instructors Course
The first phase of our last Nordic Instructor Course was held in Oslo (for the first time in Norway) on 21/6 - 3/7/99. The second was held in Göteborg on 2-13/8/99
Organized by the local HQs of Norway, Finland and Sweden and by the IKMF. In thecourse there were participants, Martial Artists from other disciplinesand KM practitioners, from 6 countries: Sweden, Norway, Finland,UK, Thailand and South Africa.  Participants that passed the courseare certified self-defense instructors by the IKMF and the Israeli Government


End of Summer in the UK

6 Day Intensive Course in London - This course covered our advanced training methodsand highly effective techniques. The participants got more than half ayear worth of training.Date: 1-6/9/99. Training was for 6 hoursevery day.
Further education for our instructors took place on 1-5/9/99.

Visiting Israel

Instructors Training for our Trained local and guest instructors was held in Natanya (& the Wingate Institute) in Israel. Intensive training together with other topics as: water and night training, urban self-defense, specialtours (including tour in the desert), combat shooting, training with expertlevels from Israel and more. Participants came from France (headed by PhilippeKaddouch our chief instructor), UK and Sweden. In earlier visits this year,many other instructors came from Finland and the UK, trained, some weretested for higher levels and all had an "Israeli" vacation. (Contact usfor details)

Summer 99 in Gothenberg, Sweden

Second Part of our last Instructors Course was held in  in Göteborg (Aug.2-13).

Summer 99 Seminars in Finland

This summer we conducted three seminars in Finland -
We had our Summer Seminar in Utti on the 16-18 July 99. Different andspecial intensive training along side with testing students up to GraduateLevel 1. A variety of subject was covered, training included: drills andtechniques in the forest; techniques and ways of operating insideand out side a car (road rage) against attacker/s from within or outsidethe car; functioning and training in water, defenses, attacks and releasesin different depths; beach training on different surfaces and with swimmingsuits. The seminar was hosted by the Finish Military Paratroopers Schooland Special Unite (in their base/school).

Instructors training for our local was held in Lahti for 3 intensive days (14-16 of July 99). Close to 20 instructors participated, of whichsome were graded. Mr. Jussi Jokinen successfully passed the ExpertLevel 1 test (he is the second one in Finland).

Further training was conducted for our Finnish Military and Special Units Instructors.

Summer 99 in Oslo, Norway

5 Day Intensive Course was conducted in Oslo 21-25. June. We trained about 6-7
hours every day using our advanced training methods and highly effectivetechniques.
Using indoor and out door training, the course covered different subjectof self-defense and fighting drills. Over 20 people from different countries took a part in the training.
The summer Seminar in Oslo, held 26-27 june. followed the intensivecourse.
Instructors for the above were Eyal Yanilov and Rune Lind - (directorof the IKMF - Norway).

Another self-defense Instructors Course For Martial Artists -

Was held in Finland, starting January 25th and ended March 19th 1999 (24days of intensive training). The certifications arefrom the IKMF and the Israeli Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport. Participants from Finland & the UK took part in this demanding &worthfull course. The course was conducted by EyalYanilov .

Instructors Seminars in Finland and Sweden Winter 98/99 -

Education and testing for our instructors in Finland 5-8 of March 99. The training concentrated on the Expert-1 curriculum; fighting tactics andon enhancing the level of the participants.
Education and testing for our instructors in Sweden took place in Gothenburg 1-4 of November, and in Helsinki 6-8 of November. About 30 Instructorsparticipated in the seminars that were concentrated on relevant materialfor the instructors' levels as well as police and law-enforcement techniques.Seminars were conducted by Eyal Yanilov

Finland Tour - Seminars 3/99 -

Seminars of training & testing were held in our clubs in Espoo, Lahti, Tapanila, Jarvenpa, Oulu, and Kuopio, (& Utti- testing only) with up to 100 participants in a seminar. Training included basic & more advanced material and concentrated on the options thatone may have to foil an attack according to his/hers timing & levelof surprise when the attack was delivered, also featured: dealing withthe same attack but as it is delivered from different directions; &being attacked by 2 assailants, and training to search for another attacker.Seminars were conducted by Eyal Yanilov with the aid of Jyrki Saario(chief instructor Finland) and the local instructors from the differentcities.

Seminars & Instructors Trainingin the UK, 2/99 -

February 99, an education and testing for our UK instructors took placein Stevanage (1 hour N to London) For 4 days 6-10 hours a day the instructors trained and enhanced their ability in the relevant techniques and subjects. Seminar for student of 2 days was held in the same place featuring amongother subjects - defending and protecting a third party and dealing withroad rage and attacks while in a car as the assailant is outside or insidethe vehicle. Seminars were given by Eyal Yanilovwith the aid Alwyn Dixon & the local instructors.
Jusa Saurama, one of our Finnishinstructors and one of the top fighters in the country, held in Londona KM seminar & a Shoot Fighting seminar.

Training Challenge in the UK, 2/99 -
IKMF - UK together with TIME-OUT magazine issueda challenge to the public in the UK to witness how much one can learn in8 hours KM seminar. Alwyn Dixon (UK director) together with Soo Dixon (ourfirst female instructor in Europe) gave a seminar that was ranked excellentby the participants (30 people took part). We got 25 people remarkingsuch as the following:

"The seminar was excellent & my perception of  Krav Maga is that it's natural, simple and FXXXING EFFECTIVE"

"Practical & useful in a real life situation"

Some News from 98

Finland Tour - Seminars of Autumn98 -
During 11/98 a tour of training seminars andgrading was given to our students in different cities in Finland, fromHelsinki in the south to Oulu in the North. Few hundred of practitionersparticipated in the seminars that started on November the 7th and wereconducted by Eyal Yanilov and Jyrki Saario (chief instructor Finland) withthe aid of the local instructors .

A Military And Special Units Instructors Courses in Finland -
Was led by Eyal Yanilov  assisted by AmnonDarsa in the Paratroopers School of the Finish military.  Participantswere officers (up to Captain) and instructors from special units, militarypolice, and border police from Finland and Sweden. 2 courses were runningparallel, one - for "Military Krav-Maga Instructors (phase one)", and two- "Krav-Maga Instructors for Military, Special Units  and CQB teams".

Self-Defense Instructors Course Ended in Finland (August 98) -
Eleven people graduated in a hard, intensiveand rewarding course of 180 hours that had it's first part held in Sweden(the 6th course in Scandinavia). Participants came from Finland Swedenand Norway and are now certified instructors by the IKMF and the IsraeliMinistry of Education and Sport. Course was given by Eyal Yanilov and organizedby the branches in Scandinavia.

4th Course for Self-Defense InstructorsEnded in France -
The course was held in Nice and ended in Paris.It was given and tested by
Philippe Kaddoush (chief- instructor in France)and Eyal Yanilov.

VIP Personnel were Educated -
Body guards from one of the world's largest cargo shipping company from Taiwan were educated with our aid in a long and comprehensive VIP protection course that took place in America.

InstructorsVisiting Israel - Summer 99

Touring and Training in the Hollyland -
Training "camps" combined with tours in israel are offered by us fromtime to time. lately there were groups with people from Sweden, Finland,UK, France and more. Training dealt with topics from the basics of thesystem to defending a third party and VIP protection. Tours, led by professionalguides, were to Jerusalem, the Dead Sea, Mazada, the Sea of Galilee, TelAviv and other great locations.

Krav-Maga Instructors Course -
Was held in Natanya and the Wingate instituteduring the summer of 98.  16 participants with the average of 5 yearsof training in Krav-Maga went through an intensive 150 hours course. Certificationsare from the Israeli Ministry of Education Culture and Sport and the IKMF.The course was conducted by  Eyal Yanilov andGabi Noah (head of Grading Committee)

Self-Defense Seminars For Women -
A rapist attacked several times in the city ofTel Aviv. The city mayor and council decided to sponsor short self-defenseseminars for the anxious women. The IKMF's instructors gave these seminarsfor more then 700 participants from the age of 14 to 55. Project was ledby Avi Moyal (Director). A  3 months course was offered to the graduatesand was met with great response.

Teaching Self-Defense for Taxi Drivers -
In a project initiated by the Israeli Ministryof Transportation our instructors gave an intensive day of preventive behavior and self-defense to all local taxi drivers in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.
The project came to life after some drivers wereattacked (criminal and political background). Avi Moyal was in charge onour behalf on this project.
Sad to say but our gratification was ataxi driver that was attacked, in his cab by a knife wielding terrorist,a short time after he went trough our seminar and protected himself veryeffectively.
Couple of years ago we participated in a similareducation for all the bus drivers in Israel. This project was also initiatedby the Israeli Ministry of Transportation, and Eyal Y. was the one in chargeon our behalf.

Krav-Maga for City Wardens -
An intensive course was given by us to the wardens of Tel Aviv as they face daily attacks and violent confrontations, whiledealing with illegal street sales, traffic and parking problems aroundthe city.Avi Moyal was in charge on thisproject.

Assistant Instructors Courses -Weregiven in Jerusalem by Eyal Yanilov and Yosi Shmuely (April 98) and in Natanyaby Gabi Noah (July 98), about 20 people with 2-5 years background in Krav-Maga,participated.
