International Women’s Day

Krav Maga has been developed to meet the specific needs and requirements of each type of individual. Krav Maga teaching and techniques for women are characterized by their effectiveness even from a position of physical disadvantage, providing the needed self-defense against violent sexual and criminal attacks.

Over the centuries women have been the oppressed gender in a lot of different aspects including decision making, professions, education, property ownership and even owning their own bodies. In all cases, women were treated as and molded into the weaker sex.

In the beginning of the 20th century the feminist revolution began taking hold in more and more countries in the western world. Today, for the most part woman are treated differently than before and the obstacles and barriers barriers which existed in the past are quickly diminishing.

A side effect of these cultural changes is that a woman has also lost the protection which was afforded by the male dominant society. The concept of chivalry is evaporating as women begin to take control of their lives and surroundings, and the barriers which protected women are disappearing along with those same barriers which oppressed them.

KMG ‘s training methods for women are based on years of experience, as well as numerous real-life examples in which women found our system to be the most effective. We took into consideration the risk analysis (what dangers women are facing), the pro and cons of being a woman in a violent confrontation (advantages and disadvantages) and the whole KM system, together with the decades of experience we composed our most efficient program and training method for women and girls. Our Krav Maga system for women provides excellent self-defense skills, producing the highest rate of defense successes in facing various types of confrontations.

In addition to the technical and tactical training required to gain Krav Maga skills, women also need to acquire the appropriate mental capabilities which will support their physical readiness to fight. This includes developing an attitude that allows for determination, persistence and aggression to become a part of the woman’s natural state of mind whenever called upon.

Krav Maga for girls and women boosts confidence, putting an end to the anxiety and aversion caused by feelings of helplessness. With our training system, women need no longer relinquish personal safety and quality of life out of fear.

Remember, while it is no woman’s fault for being attacked, it is her responsibility to learn how to defend herself.
